Information we collect and why
When you submit a calculator, we collect your name, email address, project ZIP code, project answers, optional notes and timing, and your consent choices. A phone number is required only when you request a contractor call. Please avoid including sensitive information in project notes.
We use this information to calculate and save your planning result, email the requested information, respond to questions, and manage any contractor call you request. We keep a record of the result, pricing version, disclosure you accepted and submission time. Internal lead notifications go to our team.
Email and your choices
The calculator form explains that submitting includes a result email and occasional home repair pricing guides and project-planning tips. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in an email. An unsubscribe takes effect after you confirm it. A later calculator request does not automatically reactivate promotional emails; we may still send the new result you requested.
Contractor call requests
Contractor sharing requires a separate choice. The form names the contractor before you agree. If you request a call, we share your contact details and project information with that contractor to arrange a free estimate. Email subscription alone does not authorize this sharing. The contractor handles the information it receives under its own practices; contact it directly about its records.
Service providers
We use Supabase to store submissions and email preferences, Vercel to host the website and server functions, Resend to send email when delivery is enabled, and Cloudflare for domain DNS and incoming email routing. These providers process information needed for their services. Support messages and lead notifications may also be retained in the receiving email inboxes. The hosted development Preview saves test submissions but does not send real emails.

Browser storage and technical data
A signed, one-hour cookie lets you access your saved result. It contains a submission identifier and expiry, rather than your name, email or phone. Browser session storage may record the first page you visited, a referring page without its query string, and campaign tags. We save that attribution with your submission to understand how people find the calculators.
Hosting providers process technical request information such as IP addresses. To limit abuse, our application stores keyed hashes of client IP addresses and recipient emails with temporary counters; these are not anonymous data. Request windows last 10 minutes and recipient windows last one hour. Expired counters are removed during later requests, so expiry is not an immediate deletion guarantee.
Optional analytics
When enabled, Google Analytics 4 loads only after you choose Allow analytics. It measures visits to public pages and calculator activity, including successful submissions and initial contractor-call requests. We send fixed page names and calculator types, not your name, email, phone, project answers, submission identifiers or unsubscribe links. Analytics can process technical information about your device and connection. Advertising storage, Google signals and ad personalization are disabled in this setup.
Your analytics choice is stored in this browser for 180 days. Choose Analytics preferences in the footer to change it; declining does not affect the calculators or email preferences. After withdrawal we stop future tracking and clear accessible Analytics cookies, but this does not erase information already collected. See Google's privacy policy.
How long we keep information
Our approved schedule is to remove saved leads, calculator results and associated delivery records 12 months after submission, and development test records after 30 days. We keep minimal email preference records while the email program operates so unsubscribe choices remain effective. This schedule also needs to be applied to copies in our inboxes and exports. Provider logs and backups follow their configured retention and deletion cycles. Information already shared with a contractor is held separately by that contractor.
Privacy requests
Email support@fixitlistpro.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted, or to ask about an unsubscribe. Include the email address you used and the approximate submission date. Please do not send identity documents or sensitive information unless we arrange a suitable verification method. We may verify that you control the address before disclosing or changing records. We retain the minimum preference information needed to honor an opt-out.
